Varun Dhawan recalled how his proposal to Natasha Dalal in Alibaug did not go as planned and called it a bad proposal. The actor also said that real life proposals are often very different from those shown in films.

Actor Varun Dhawan shares that his proposal to wife Natasha Dalal didn’t turn out the way he had planned. Speaking on comedian Tanmay Bhatt’s reaction show on YouTube, Varun said that moment in Alibaug went wrong, and Natasha realized what was happening before he could even process it properly.
Varun recalled that he had planned a swimming and singing proposal, but the timing went wrong. By the time she found the ring, Natasha had already got out of the pool. He said that he put off the proposal several times and said that real life proposals are not as perfect as they look in the movies.

Sharing details, Varun said, “We were in Alibaug. I played singer Mark Anthony you sang To Me. Thought we’d go swimming and when she came out of the pool I’d ask questions. I was talking nonsense till then. By the time I got the ring, she was out of the pool.
He said that after this the plan started slipping from his hands. According to Varun, after this he told his friends to keep Natasha at one place and not let her roam here and there, because she kept roaming around to get drinks and then eat salad. He said, “She actually found out I was proposing, it was a bad proposal. I had to play the song three times in a row!”
