In a statement issued by Vanuatu Prime Minister Jitoth Napat on Monday, the Citizenship Commission issued to Lalit Modi has directed the Citizenship Commission to cancel the Passport. “I have directed the Citizenship Commission to immediately start proceedings to cancel Shri Modi’s Vanututu passport”, read a statement issued by the PM of Vanuatu.
Lalit Modi, who left India in 2010 and has been living in London since then, acquired Vanuatu’s citizenship through his citizenship-by-investment program.
