યુનાઈટેડ નેશન્સ સિક્યુરિટી કાઉન્સિલ (યુએનએસસી) બનાવે છે તેવા 15 સભ્ય દેશો છે, જેમાંથી પાંચ વીટો પાવર સાથે કાયમી સભ્યો છે અને તેમાંથી 10 બિન-કાયમી સભ્યો છે જે બે વર્ષના સમયગાળા માટે પસંદ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

ચીન, યુનાઇટેડ સ્ટેટ્સ, ફ્રાન્સ, રશિયા અને યુનાઇટેડ કિંગડમ સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્ર સુરક્ષા પરિષદના પાંચ સ્થાયી સભ્યો છે. UNGA UN સુરક્ષા પરિષદના અસ્થાયી સભ્યોને બે વર્ષની મુદત માટે ચૂંટે છે.
