Wall Street indexes held steady at the open on Friday, as investors awaited the highly anticipated Nasdaq debut of South Korean chip bellwether SK Hynix, while jitters grew over the recent escalating conflict in the Middle East.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 135.5 points, or 0.26%, at 52,622.92. The S&P 500 rose 4.0 points, or 0.05%, to 7,547.64 at the opening bell, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 31.4 points, or 0.12%, to 26,175.535.
