Days after the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro were launched in India, Oppo is introducing two new models in the series – one 5G phone, one 4G, both marked with the letter F. Except for the different chipsets inside them, they are almost the same device.
Oppo Reno13F • Oppo Reno13F 5G
The Oppo Reno13F 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while its 4G brother uses the Helio G100. Both are paired with LPDDR4X RAM (2,133MHz), 8/12GB in the case of the 5G phone, just 8GB for the 4G phone. The more obvious difference is in storage, with the 5G using the faster UFS 3.1 (128/256/512GB), while its sibling gets the older UFS 2.2 (256/512GB). In both cases, there’s a microSD slot if you need more space.
Oppo Reno13F and Reno13F 5G chipset
The displays are the same, a 6.67” OLED panel with 1080p+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. They have 100% coverage of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces and can reach up to 1,200 nits in high brightness mode. Both are protected by Dragontrail Star 2 glass.
In terms of protection, the Reno13 F Duo is rated IP6X (dust-resistant) and IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 – the latter two meaning it can withstand being submerged under 2 meters of water for half an hour and heated to 80 degrees Celsius. Can survive in water jets. Additionally, the interior is designed to reduce impacts if the phone is dropped.
The phones are equipped with triple cameras on the back. It includes a 50MP main (f/1.8 lens with OIS), 8MP ultra-wide (112°) and 2MP macro cam. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera (f/2.4, 82°). The more powerful chipset of the 5G model enables 4K @ 30fps recording with the rear camera, while the 4G Oppo Reno13 F only does 1080p.
Both phones run on a massive 5,800mAh battery, which can last for over 14 hours of light gaming and will still retain 80% of their capacity (at least) after 4 years. They support 45W SuperVOOC flash charge, which charges them from 1% to 44% in 30 minutes.
The F phones will be available in Plum Purple, Graphite Grey, Skyline Blue and Luminous Blue.
Oppo Reno13F and Reno13F 5G will launch in the Asia-Pacific region first, exact dates and prices will be revealed soon. This will be followed by a broader rollout (again, details TBA).
