The High Court in London on Thursday ordered US President Donald Trump to pay £ 625,000 ($ 741,000) in legal costs, as they sued a well -being on a former British spy on a former British spy.
Trump had demanded a case against former MI6 officer Christopher Steel, who wrote to the so -called Steel Dojier, alleging that the American leader was compromised by Russian agents.
A dozen memo -made dosier launched a political firstorm when Trump’s first president was published just before the inauguration of Trump in January 2017.
This included rejected and controversial information about Trump and Russia that the former Republican leader repeatedly denied, including allegations of sexual misconduct.
Trump claimed a data protection against Steel’s Steel company Orbis Business Intelligence in 2022, but High Court Judge Karen Stan stated that there were “no hypnotic reasons” to allow the claim to proceed to testing.
The claim, “bound to fail”, wrote in his judgment in February 2024.
The dosier included claims that Trump was “compromised” by the Russian Security Service, FSB, and Moscow had damaged Trump’s videos with prostitutes during a 2013 visit to the Russian capital.
It was also alleged that Russian President Vladimir Putin supported Trump as a presidential candidate for at least five years, support “an operation” to “farming”.
Trump claimed that Orbis illegally processed his personal data, and demanded unspecified compensation for “serious crisis and reputed damage”.
The company argued that it was not responsible for the publication of the doseer.
Dosier, built before Trump’s 2016 election victory against Hillary Clinton, was commissioned by advisors of the Democratic Party.
Stan last year excluded the case without deciding the truth of the allegations.
Some allegations promoted an investigation by US Special Prosecutor Robert Muller, which concluded in 2019 that the Russian government had intervened in the 2016 election, but no evidence of collusion with Trump’s team was found.
