New Delhi: Iran has rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that its navy has been “depleted” by showcasing its fast missile boats and quoting a dialogue from a Shah Rukh Khan film.In a social media post, criticizing Trump and sharing a video of its naval vessels, the Iran Consulate in Mumbai said, “Red bees of the #PersianGulf Yes, fast missile boats are heating up.”It further added a warning to the US, saying, “Strange how #Trump keeps claiming that #Iran’s navy has been “destroyed”… now they’re about to figure out how quickly a bunch can take you down,” adding Shah Rukh’s dialogue from the film “Om Shanti Om”, adding, “Abhi toh jir trailer hai, picture abhi baaki hai.”Trump has claimed several times that Iran’s navy has been “completely decimated”, with several US ships sunk. In the most recent statement on Monday, Trump said, “Iran’s navy is lying at the bottom of the ocean, completely destroyed – 158 ships. The ones we haven’t attacked are a small number of what they call “fast attack ships” because we didn’t consider them much of a threat.”On the other hand, Iran has consistently denied the US President’s claims and says that their defense systems remain in place. He has also claimed control of the Strait of Hormuz, mocking Trump’s decision to order another blockade.
