Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults The stakes have just been raised with two powerful new additions. The makers have officially introduced Akshay Oberoi as Tony and Sudev Nair as Karmaadi, who promise to bring added intensity and intrigue to the high-octane action saga.
Akshay’s Tony is directly reminiscent of the 1950s. With long sideburns, a vintage silhouette and unmistakeable old-world swag, he comes across not only as a man who has seen violence, but as a man who has mastered it, gentle but dangerous.

Sudev Nair, on the other hand, steps into the chaos as Karmaadi, a serious, grounded force with a commanding presence. With his flat cap pulled down, sharp moustache, fixed and unreadable eyes and gun in hand, Karmadi exudes a quiet intensity that speaks louder than words or actions.

Director Geetu Mohandas shared posts for both the stars on his Instagram stories and shared his experience of working with the duo.
“This journey for Karmaadi would have been very difficult without the right casting. I needed someone who could be present and quietly support the film, and Sudev made it seamless. Having worked with him before, I knew the depth of his talent, and once again, he reminded me why I value him so much. His craft is still powerful and underrated, and he committed himself not only to the role but to the entire journey of our film. He was there every frame. He brought a quiet strength to the show – depth without performance, emotion without excess – and on the set, he wrote of Sudev, “Only by example, he led gently. I believe that talent alone doesn’t get you far – good people are not here to just stay, but to actually get ahead.”

The director also shared his thoughts on working with Akshay. “Working with Akshay has been one of those rare experiences that reminds me why I enjoy directing actors so much. What immediately sets him apart is his curiosity. He doesn’t look at a script passively; he interrogates it in the most thoughtful way. He asks questions not to intellectualize the work, but to deepen it. He wants to understand the emotional architecture of a scene – what happens before it, what it costs, what it leads to.” As a director, you don’t have to pull him towards the truth. Akshay really enjoys acting, even in the most intense, complex moments, because he will kill it.”

The recently unveiled teaser has already increased the intrigue, garnering over 200 million views in 24 hours, while introducing Yash in a striking new, clean-up avatar as ‘Ticket’, which has instantly given rise to many theories of a possible dual role.
Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, toxic It has been shot simultaneously in Kannada And dubbed versions in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages are planned.
