When we mention alcohol consumption in India, it is generally seen because some men enjoy – but this perception is changing rapidly. Based on the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5) held between 2019 and 2021, many states have a surprising tendency: more women are drinking alcohol, challenging centuries-old stereotypes.
