The latest installments at Marvel Cinematic Universe are facing a lukewarm reception at the Indian box office despite a large -scale global appeal. The film, including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan and Vuut Russell, had a star-stad Encembal Cast, on its first day, a minor inauguration of Rs 3.75 crore on 1 May, after which a dip of Rs 2.25 crore was done on Friday, day 2.
Although today’s race can mark a recovery for the superhero house, it is still only in the minor range of business. This spectacular performance generally contradicts with Marvel films with a thunder obtained in India. Thunderbolts, despite being a major MCU tentpol, have failed to catch the same enthusiasm from the Indian audience that were titled Avengers: Endege and Infinity War.
The film’s earnings are less than expectations, and the absence of fan-psandida a-list actors such as Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans has been cited as a reason behind the humble response. Even Captain America: Brave New World, in which Anthony Mackie was shown in the lead role, failed to perform well in India, confirming the notion that Marvel’s low-finished faces could not be the same draw in the country. The absence of Avengers may leave the audience indifferent despite the film’s action -rich base.
In particular, this year was the largest Hollywood hit intellecter in India, with a remarkable resurrection when it was re -released in February and March, because due to heavy demand. It suggests a change in the preference of the audience, with Indian filmmakers a choice for films directed by known filmmakers such as Christopher Nolan and James Cameron. The success of the intersteler can also indicate a growing appetite for visually, visually stunning science-fi at the traditional superhero fare.
Thunderbolts is the 36th film at the MCU, which brings a group of antihros forced to work together on a dangerous mission. Directed by Jake Shreyer, the film also stars Olga Kuralenko, Lewis Pulman and Julia Louis-Drapus.
As Thunderbolts continued their run in India, its performance will be an important barometer for Marvel’s future strategy in the country. If it improves its upcoming release market with RDJ (Doomsde) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man 4), the absence of Marki stars that create trouble for the banner will prove to be true.
