This week Rs. Block deals worth over 8,228 crores; TCS, ICICI Bank, lead the Power Grid initiative

While the Nifty ended the week up 1.6%, large, mid and small-cap stocks traded at Rs. Over 8,228 crore block trades were executed, marking significant market activity, including both buying and selling actions.

Large-cap block deals

In the large-cap segment, Torrent Pharma posted Rs. 3,207 crore in block deals, followed by ICICI Bank at Rs. 682 crore and Infosys Rs. 610 crores. Other major transactions include Maruti Suzuki Rs. 494 crore, HDFC Bank Rs. 144 crore and TCS Rs. 133 crores included.

In Power Grid Corporation Rs. 118 crore, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Rs. 117 crore, SBI Life Insurance Rs. 107 crore and Interglobe Aviation Rs. Additional block deals worth 92 crores were recorded.

The data is compiled by brokerage firm Nuwama and pertains to trades executed between 8:45 am and 3:30 pm this week.

    Mid-cap block deals

    In the mid-cap segment, 10 companies with Rs. 1,371 crore blocks were dealt. The largest block deal in Indus Towers totaled Rs. 215 crore, followed by Laurus Labs at Rs. 210 crores. Other prominent deals include Sona BLW Precision, Honeywell Automation and Vodafone Idea, which has a Rs. 208 crore to Rs. 171 crore worth of deals.

    Small-cap block deals

    In the small-cap segment this week Rs. 812 crore block deals were done. Ramco Industries Rs. 327 crore in small-cap deals, followed by five-star business finance at Rs. 97 crore and Genesis International Rs. 86 crore is with.

    Among other notable small-cap stocks with block deals, Purvankara added Rs. 83 crore, Praj Industries Rs. 43 crore, Zydus Wellness Rs. 39 crore and City Union Bank Rs. 35 crores included.

    Apart from block deals, Nuwama reported several significant bulk and insider transactions for the week along with details of buyers and sellers. Among them Medplus Health on November 18 Rs. Did significant internal activity with a total transaction value of 1,055 crores. PNB Housing Finance also recorded significant insider transactions on November 19, totaling Rs. 97 crores.
