This desi radish chutney will make you want to eat everything with it

Winter brings with it an array of fresh produce, and seasonal stars include the common radish or radish. This crisp, spicy root vegetable is a powerhouse of nutrition, and the best way to include it in your diet is to make desi-style radish chutney. This spicy, tangy chutney isn’t just a condiment; It is a storehouse of flavors that can turn any meal into a culinary delight. What makes this chutney special is its rustic preparation method. Traditionally, it is made on a silbatta (stone mill), which enhances the flavor and gives an earthy taste. If you don’t have silbatta, grinding it quickly in a grinder can also work. This chutney goes perfect with paranthas, dal-rice or even a bowl of khichdi, it has a flavor that makes every meal exciting.

How to make Desi Style Mooli Chutney I Mooli Recipe:

  1. First of all, grate the radish and squeeze out its excess water. – Keep the grated radish aside.
  2. Add coriander, black pepper and cumin seeds on a hot pan and fry for a minute till the aroma comes out. Take out and keep aside.
  3. – Heat mustard oil on the same pan and fry the garlic cloves and green chillies in it till they burn lightly. Cancel.
  4. Cut the tomatoes in half and cover them on the pan and fry them until they become soft. After cooking, peel the tomato.
  5. If you are using silbatta, first grind the roasted spices with garlic and green chillies until coarse.
  6. Add fresh mint leaves and coriander leaves, add them to the spice mixture until the herbs release their oil and aroma.
  7. Mash the roasted tomatoes well and mix them in the mixture.
  8. Finally, add grated radish, salt to taste and a little pomegranate seeds. Grind and mix everything until well combined.
  9. If you are using a grinder, grind the roasted ingredients, herbs, tomatoes and radish for 5-10 seconds, ensuring that it remains slightly coarse in texture.
