US President Donald Trump on Friday denied a report that his senior advisor, billionaire Elon Musk, had clashed with State Secretary Marco Rubio during a White House meeting.
According to The New York Times, Musk argued with Rubio and a separate transport secretary with Sean Dafi on Thursday during a cabinet meeting headed by Trump.
The Musk is leading the government proficiency department (DOGE) in a drive to reduce costs in government departments and cut jobs, allegedly leading to tension with the department heads.
After the meeting, Trump announced that the deduction would continue, but with “scalpel” instead of “hatchet”, this means that he had the opportunity to strengthen the musk.
However, the dispute reported by the reporters on Friday was asked, the President dismissed it, announcing: “No struggle. I was there.”
He went to emphasize about Musk and Rubio, “They are both doing a great job … they both meet fictionally well.”
According to the Times report, Musk scattered the record of cutting the cost of Rubio in the state department, accusing them of “any” in the first 45 days of the administration.
