The Roshans Trailer: An Interesting Glimpse into Hrithik Roshan’s Family Legacy
Netflix’s The Roshans, directed by Shashi Ranjan, explores the Bollywood legacy of Hrithik, Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan, following three generations of Bollywood’s Roshan family. It will stream from January 17.
The trailer of the highly anticipated docu-series, The Roshans, has now been released, taking an in-depth look at the life, challenges and achievements of Bollywood’s iconic Roshan family. This series directed by Shashi Ranjan will stream on Netflix from January 17.
In the over three-minute trailer, the Roshan family members, friends and colleagues share information about their contributions to the Hindi film industry. Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Nigam, Anu Kapoor, Salim Merchant and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are among those who speak fondly about the family.
In the trailer, Hrithik teases the origin of his surname and says, ‘It is a very interesting story how our surname got transformed from Nagrath to Roshan.’ He also indicates that his silence is often “misunderstood”.
Hrithik’s ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ co-star and close friend Preity Zinta, refuses to divulge secrets about his life, but talks warmly about him.

The Roshan Family promises to highlight the journey of the late music maestro Roshan Lal Nagrath, his sons—filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and composer Rajesh Roshan—and his grandson, renowned actor Hrithik Roshan.

Roshans joins the growing list of documentaries focusing on the Hindi film industry. Prime Video’s The Angry Men chronicles the lives of renowned screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan. Netflix’s The Romantics pays tribute to Yash Chopra’s Yash Raj Films and his contribution to Bollywood.
