Apple has just launched a new iPad Air M3 tablet in India and the price of iPad Air M2 has fallen on the sale of Vijay. This iPad air model is now available for Rs 56,900, which is below the original retail price of Rs 59,900. Additionally, users with SBI or ICICI bank card will be able to claim an additional discount of Rs 4,000, which will effectively reduce the price by Rs 52,900. So, should you buy the Air M2 model or the latest 7th generation iPad Air version?
For those considering the tablet upgrade, the iPad Air M2 remains a good option, especially if you are going above older models such as iPad 9 or iPad 10. The M2 variant offers reliable performance for everyday tasks such as web, streaming video, or light gaming. However, if you already own the iPad Air M1, you can get a better value in choosing for iPad Air M3, given that it gives new hardware and better speed.
Apple’s latest iPad Air 7 device is powered by M3 chip, which provides large performance benefits on the M1 version. Apple claims that the M3 chip is almost double than the M1 and the A14 is 3.5 times faster than the bionic-managed model. This makes the iPad Air M3 a strong contender for users watching to engage in more demanding tasks such as video editing, content creation, or advanced gaming.
While iPad Air M2 and M3 share similar designs, the use of touch ID is integrated into the top button, it has some features that are exclusive to iPad Pro that are not available on the air model. For example, iPad Air has a lack of face ID, which is a more convenient authentication facility available on Pro. Additionally, the function row on magic keyboard attachment for iPad Pro is missing on iPad Air, which can affect users who are accustomed to quick access to controls such as volume and glitter.
Both M2 and M3 models are similar with the major differences in chipsets and keyboard functionality. When it comes to displaying quality, the iPad Air M3 M2 maintains the same specifications as the model, with a 11-inch version of 500nits and the 13-inch version is going to 600nits. Both P3 support wide color and true tone.
In terms of camera features, the iPad Air M3 is equipped with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera that supports the center stage, allowing users to track and keep it in the frame during the camera video call. The rear camera is also a 12-megapixel, with a capacity to record 4K videos up to 60fps, as well as a slow 1080p and 240fps.
Along with the new iPad Air, Apple has also launched a recent version of the magic keyboard. It is similar to the keyboard of the iPad Pro, but comes with a subtle difference, such as incorporating the 14-key function line for quick access to the shortcut. However, build material is less premium than people used for the keyboard of iPad Pro.
For buyers on a budget, the iPad Air M2 is a good deal with its price drop. But for those who want to perform rapidly and are upgraded to devices that are older than iPad Air 6 or iPad 10, iPad Air M3 remains a better option with its new M3 chip and other features.
