Listen to the story

The iPhone 17 can still be a few months away, but the leaks and rumors have already given us a proper idea of what to expect. While most of the attention is being paid to the Pro and Air Models, the standard iPhone 17 may also be for some exciting changes. From a large screen (quite probability) to a sharp chip and better cameras, Apple is giving a meaningful upgrade to the standard model this year. For the beginning, the iPhone 17 can come up with a large display of 6.3 inch, above 6.1 inches on iPhone 16. This will make it equal with the iPhone 16 Pro in terms of size. If the Apple Plus decides to leave the model and go with 17 wind instead, this base model can become the right middle-land option for those who want a slightly larger phone without jumping on the Pro line.
One of the largest upgrades of this year may start a 120Hz promotion display in the entire iPhone 17 lineup. So far, Apple has kept this feature exclusive to the Pro model, but now even the standard iPhone 17 is expected to get an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. All models are also expected to use Ltpo OLED panels to keep battery efficiency.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 is likely to be operated by Apple’s next-gene A19 chip, built on an increased 3Nm process. While the A19 Pro (rumor for the top-end pro model) is not advanced, this new chip should still offer rapid performance, better energy efficiency and better battery life in the current generation.
On the camera front, the iPhone 17 can bring a major upgrade to the front camera at the end. The leak suggests that the 12-megapixel selfie camera can be replaced with a new 24-megapixel sensor. Even adding a mechanical aperture system of Apple, allowing users to control the amount of light entering the lens-a feature that is commonly found on high-ended professional cameras.
Connectivity is another area where improvement in iPhone 17 may appear. All models of the lineup are expected to support Wi-Fi 7, especially at crowded places brings fast speed, low delay and better overall performance. Bluetooth 5.3 is also expected to be standard, offering better connectivity with wireless goods.
While Apple has not officially confirmed anything, the upgrade says that the standard iPhone can be one of the best round base iPhones in 17 years, especially if it manages to keep its price close to the iPhone 16.
For other models in the iPhone 17 lineup – Apple is expected to launch a total of four phones this year. Along with the iPhone 17, there will be a possibility of iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Air is ever called the thinnest iPhone of Apple, possibly just 5.5 mm thick, and can sit between the base and pro model with a 6.6 -inch display. Pro and Prof. Max, meanwhile, is expected to bring the most premium upgrade that includes new camera designs, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens and A19 Pro Chip. All models can get a fresh design, 120Hz screen, improve durability with anti-glare glass, and better overall performance.
