New York Governor Kathy Hachul ordered City University of New York (CUNY) to close a job posting for the “Palestinian Studies” teaching situation at Hunter College of State University System last week, according to a report last week. The office of Ms. Hochar informed that the decision was not promoted to the “Antisemitic Theories” in order to ensure the decision -funded Upper East Side Institution classes funded by the taxpayer.
A spokesperson for Ms. Hochar said, “Governor Hosul has instructed Cuny to immediately remove the posting of this job and make a thorough review of the situation to ensure that antisementary principles are not promoted in the classroom.”
“The Governor has continued to strongly condemn all forms of antisementism and clarify that any disgusting rhetoric has no place anywhere in the state of Kuni or New York.”
After taking this decision, the Jewish Watchdog groups protested against the job posting and pressured the administration to take action.
Job posting, which also said that it was part of the Palestinian study “Cluster Rent” for two posts, since then taken below Kuni’s website.
“We seek a historically a grassroots scholar, who takes an important lens for issues related to Palestine, but it is not limited: settling colonialism, genocide, human rights, apartheid, migration, climate and infrastructure destruction, health, race, gender and sexuality,” Read job posting.
