Rashmika Mandanna’s latest Telugu film ‘The Girlfriend’ has taken a great start at the box office and has shown an impressive growth within just two days of its release. With a total collection of over Rs 3.8 crore till now, the film seems to be winning the hearts of the audience with strong word-of-mouth and Rashmika’s emotional performance.

The film recorded an overall occupancy rate of 30.79 percent in theaters on its second day. The morning shows started off slow with 17.32 percent occupancy, but the pace remained consistent throughout the day – reaching 33.44 percent in the afternoon, 33.84 percent in the evening and 38.55 percent in the night shows. As the weekend progressed, the increasing number of viewers reflected the growing interest of viewers.

Rashmika’s heartfelt portrayal has become a major talking point among fans. Sharing his emotional connect with the film, the actor wrote on social media, “When Rahul first narrated this script to me, I remember I cried… There were so many moments that hurt my heart in a way that I couldn’t explain. I walked out of our meeting with two things – a script that I knew it would be a sin not to do, and a friend for life.”
