2023 was the year we last saw the final presentation of the DC Extended Universe. It was The Flash starring Ezra Miller, whose director Andy Muschietti recently shared his thoughts on why the film didn’t make big money at the box office.
In a new interview with Radio Tu’s YouTube show La Bolera del Coso, Muschietti revealed that when the studio makes a $200 million movie, he wants to “bring even your grandmother to the cinema.” Thinks about.
“Then I realized things like, a lot of people aren’t interested in the Flash character…there are a lot of women who aren’t interested in the Flash character…but I’m very happy with the film.” said the It Chapter Two filmmaker.
For those who don’t know, The Flash made $270 million at the global box office, which was just over its $200 million budget.
Meanwhile, it is important to know that the film ran into a lot of controversies as its lead actor Ezra Miller was arrested multiple times in Hawaii following a public disturbance in 2022. The actor was accused of harassing minors on several occasions. Although she was not seen in promotional interviews, she made a rare and surprise appearance at the film’s premiere.
The story of The Flash was almost identical to that of the animated film Flashpoint Paradox. While focusing on Miller’s character, it also returned to the age-old and best-loved Batman, played by Michael Keaton.
