Carla Sophia Gaskon does not want her ongoing dispute to affect her Oscar dispute! Emilia Perez actress who is enrolled for Best Actress at this year’s Academy Awards, spoke to CNN N Espanol what it means between the ongoing drama.
The actress was recently criticized for her alleged excavation at Costar Selena Gomez, along with her old racist and Islamophobic tweets. He allegedly received death threats, abuse and “oppression at point of exhaustion”, due to which he was removed his X (formally Twitter) account.
Asked if she would abandon her Oscar nomination, Gaskon clearly refused, claiming that she had done her work and is entitled to be honored for her acting work. He said, “I cannot give a position from an Oscar nomination because I have not committed any crime, nor I have harmed anyone,” he told the outlet.
The actress explained that she is not an Islamophobic or anything that people tried to believe her about herself. During the interview, Guskon became visually emotional while addressing his tweets about the 2020 assassination of George Floid, which inspired the notorious Black Lives Matter movement.
In later posts, the actress called Floid “a drug addict and a Husler”. He allegedly stated that the incident highlighted that people still consider black people as “monkeys without rights” and some people consider police to be killers.
Floid was killed by a white police officer in Minianapolis after suspicion of using a fake twenty-dollar bill. Gaskon explained to CNN that his wrath had come from a different place because he thought of Floid that a man was going through a difficult situation in his life that suddenly became a symbol of a reason and everyone loved him .
Defending Ismophia’s criticism, she told the outlet about her previous relationship with a Muslim woman, which she “loved” and loved.
