We are testing Tecno Camon 40 Pro (5G variants) and want to share the findings of our battery life. This phone is equipped with a 5,200mAh battery (with 45W wired charging) and is running up to a curved 6.78 “OLED display 144hz. It is powered by a demetance 7300, 4Nm chip from TSMC Fabs.
Battery life test
From last year, Camon 30 Pro has a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery, but a high-level dimension 8200 ultimat (which is fabbed on the 4Nm node similar to 7300). Additional performance helped in gaming testing where the old model lasted for an hour. It also had the upper hand in the call test, while the web and video tests are quite close – it gave an additional 40 -minute active use score to 2024 Pro.
Recently forms for an interesting point of Motorola Edge 60 fusion comparison – the global model (which we have tested) uses the same dimension 7300 chip and the battery has the same 5,200mAh capacity. The screen is slightly younger, but has a high resolution – 6.67 “1220p+ 6.78” for Motorola 6.78 “compared to 1080p+ for Tecno. The video playback test has a profit of more than 2 hours, which was enough to exclude the techno by a small margin.
Techno Camon 40 Pro
Infinix Note 50 Pro+ also makes for an interesting comparison-it has a 6.78 “144hz display, such as Tecno (it is flat, but it does not affect electricity use) and the same is the same 5,200mAh battery. However, it uses an dimensions 8350, which is made up to a more advanced N4P node.
The Poco X7 demetance runs on 7300 ultra (a slight variation of 7300) and 5,110mAh batteries (just 90mAh less than Tecno). It has a small, sharper 6.67 “1220p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the hardware appears close, X7 is below 2 two and a half hours below, which is in the active use score with worse results throughout the board.
Charging speed test
Tecno Camon 40 Pro supports 45W Chargers – it also ships with one in the box. This is a lower rating than the previous model, Camon 30 Pro, which supports (and with ships) with 70W charger.
Camon 40 Pro is closed for a slow start – it does not help most of its rivals support high charge rates. Certainly, some of them have small batteries, but the 90mAh difference with Poco X7 (the sole other phone with 45W charging in the list) is not enough for the 8 percent point difference on a 15 -minute mark.
The lead of X7 is spread over a 30 -minute mark. Meanwhile, Infinix Note 50 Pro+ has essentially crossed the finish line at this point. The Motorola Edge 60 fusion (which has the same 5,200mAh battery) shows the benefit of its higher 68W rating. Interestingly, Tecno Camon 40 Pro defeated Poco X7 by 100% – just one minute, but it is still unexpected, given that it was behind 15 and 30 minutes. Motorola became 100% 20 minutes compared to Tecno. Camon was beaten by his predecessor for 15 minutes.

Decision
The Tecno Camon 40 Pro has a very good battery life than its peers and if you charge up to 100%then the charge speed is fine. Quick top-ups are not so hurry. It is difficult to notice the downgrade compared to the Camon 30 Pro – the 2024 model lasted long (not short with a short battery) and is rapidly charged. They are not only downgrade, in review we will also go on performance and cameras (30 Pro had an ultra-wide of 50MP, 40 Pro has 8MP module).
