Tamil actor Jayam Ravi changes name to Ravi Mohan, launches production house
In a transformative move, Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has officially changed his name to Ravi Mohan. The change comes just ahead of his film’s release and marks the launch of his new production house and fan organization.

Popular Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has officially changed his name to his birth name Ravi Mohan. The announcement comes just a day before the release of his upcoming film Kadhalika Neramillai, which also stars Nithya Menen.
In a statement on his social media, Ravi said it is a transformative decision and said, “From this day forward, I will be known as Ravi/Ravi Mohan, a name that deeply aligns with my personal and professional aspirations.” As I move forward in this new chapter, aligning my identity with my vision and values, I request everyone to no longer address me as Jayam Ravi.”
The actor has also launched his own production banner, Ravi Mohan Studios and said, “This venture represents my commitment to nurturing emerging talent and bringing deep, meaningful stories to cinema.”

Furthermore, the actor also shared that he has decided to create a structured fan club by the name of Ravi Mohan Fans Foundation, “This foundation will work towards helping all those in need and making a positive impact in our society. This is my heartfelt wish.” An effort to convert the love and support I have received into meaningful contributions to those who need it most,” read a part of the shared note.
On the work front, Ravi Mohan was last seen in Brother and will soon be seen in Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Kadhalika Neramillai. He also has Sudha Kongara’s next in the pipeline.
