Chiyaan Vikram has stunned his fans with his unique avatar in his upcoming film Thangalan. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 15, 2024. Ahead of this, Suriya has sent a happy note for Chiyaan and the entire team of Thangalan.
On his X account (formerly Twitter), Surya released a stunning poster of Thangalalan in which Chiyaan Vikram looks unrecognisable in a tribal avatar. Along with this, Surya praised the film and expressed hope for its sure victory at the box office. Surya wrote, “#Thangalan…! This victory will be huge!!”.
Interestingly, this post by Surya dedicated to Chiyaan Vikram’s film comes at a time when just a few days ago Vikram was asked to respond about having lesser fan following than Surya or Ajith.
For those who don’t know, a few days ago at the press conference held for his movie Thangalan, Chiyaan Vikram had to face an unpleasant question from a journalist in which he openly commented that he has a much lesser number of fans compared to other actors including Suriya and Ajith Kumar.
In response, Chiyan kept his composure and quickly responded, saying, “That’s because you don’t know about my fans. Just come to the theater and see for yourself.”
However, the conversation did not end here, after which another journalist openly claimed that Vikram’s name is not in the list of top actors at the moment.
This time too the sketch actor responded thoughtfully and calmly and said, “It is not important to be included in the list of top heroes. What matters is the common audience. As far as I am concerned, everyone is my fan in some way or the other.”
Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalan is directed by Pa Ranjith and has a star cast like Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Preeti Karan, Pasupathy and others. The film is aiming for a high opening score despite clashing with several other films at the box office.
Suriya, on the other hand, has two projects in the pipeline, Kanguva will release on October 10, 2024, followed by Suriya 44 (working title).
