To start this dish, start with washing and soaking your rice for about 20 minutes. It helps the grains to cook evenly and stay alcoholic. In a large pan or griddle, heat some oil and get angry with full spices such as cumin, black papercorn, cloves, cardamom and a bay leaf. This makes the base of flavored masala.
Once the spices release your aroma, add finely chopped onions and sauce them until golden brown. Stir in fresh tomatoes with ginger-garlic paste and cook until the tomatoes become soft and the mixture becomes rich and slightly tangy.
