A prominent advisor to the interim government of Muhammad Yunus said on Saturday that the Awami League of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will not be allowed to participate in the election.

Mahfuz Alam, a top leader of the anti-discrimination movement, said, “Elections will only be contested among Bangladesh groups, which led a massive rebellion to top Hasina’s Awami League rule and he led him to a massive rebellion and on 5 August on 5 August Forced to escape.

Initially appointed by Younus as a special assistant in his government, Alam later served as an advisor in his interim cabinet. Last year, at a function on the occasion of the United Nations General Assembly, Younus introduced Alam as a “main brain” behind a student -led student -led student, which topped the previous regime.
