In early June, Sony released the Xperia 1 VII, its latest flagship smartphone, and immediately began to receive a lot of negative response from buyers, which were experiencing an inability to random reboots, shutdowns and even devices.
After stopping the sale of the phone globally and conducting a slight investigation, the company announced a replacement program in July, allowing all buyers to get a new, fixed unit. The origin of the problems was a defective circuit board, and the new units produced with it to decide. A few days ago we heard that Xperia 1 VII would return on sale in Europe starting from this week, and now the company has announced the same thing for Japan, while underlining the steps taken to prevent something from reworning something.

Xperia 1 VII will return to sale in Japan today. In an official statement (see the source below) in Japanese, the company has apologized in depth for the inconvenience with the above issue, as well as some customers to get their replacement units.

Sony Xperia promises to strengthen the quality control system used for products, with a new management system behind it, which “will” ensure “verification and evaluation of risks affecting quality in manufacturing process”. This new system already exists on the Xperia 1 VII replacement units and currently sales. Sony has promised to expand it to all future Xperia devices.
If there are still customers who have bought a Xperia 1 VII before 4 July, they are eligible to get a free replacement. Sony says that it criticizes the rigorous criticism of the case very seriously and tries his best to distribute products that can re -acquire their customers’ trusts.
