It’s been a month since Sonakshi Sinha got married to her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal and the couple still makes headlines in gossip columns. Sonakshi, who had a private civil wedding with Zaheer on June 23, couldn’t control her happiness during her marriage registration. A video from their wedding is proof of it.

Recently, in an interview with Galta India, Sonakshi Sinha was asked about the moment when she screamed in excitement during her wedding ceremony with Zaheer Iqbal.
Talking about that moment, Sonakshi said, “We both were waiting for this moment for so long that I couldn’t stop myself. I was thinking, ‘It’s done boss’.”
The actress revealed that she can’t put her feelings into words, but during the ceremony she was “really happy and excited.” So much so that the newlywed bride wanted to shout it from her rooftop to tell the world that she was finally married.

On June 27, Sonakshi Sinha shared a video from her wedding with Zaheer Iqbal on Instagram. The clip shows Sonakshi and Zaheer surrounded by their respective family and friends. The couple registered their marriage at Zaheer’s Bandra residence.
After the registration, Sonakshi can be seen jumping in excitement and Zaheer hugs her warmly. She is accompanied by her parents Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. Sonakshi also shed tears of joy during the ceremony.

In the same interview, Sonakshi Sinha revealed that she was the first one to propose to Zaheer Iqbal. The Dabangg actress recalled that she was “the first woman to tell Zaheer Iqbal I love you” and that she would marry him whether he “liked it or not”.
Sonakshi Sinha dated Zaheer Iqbal for over seven years before marrying him in June this year. Sonakshi worked with him in the 2022 film Double XL, which also starred Huma Qureshi. She was recently seen in Zee5’s film Kakuda.
