Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is riding high on the success of his latest film Amaran, praised Vijay Sethupathi’s film Maharaja. He shared a note on Instagram to express his pride ahead of the release of Maharaja in China.

In his post, Sivakarthikeyan expressed pride in Maharaja’s achievement and wished it success in China. He wrote, “Maharaja is having a big release in China! Proud of this achievement and hope it will be a huge hit there too. Congratulations to Vijay Sethupathi, Nithilan Saminathan, Sudhan and the entire team for making a film that transcends boundaries.”

The film, directed by Nithilan Saminathan, has reportedly sold over 93,000 tickets so far, making it one of the most anticipated Indian films in the region.

The preview shows of Maharaja began on Monday with a positive response from the audience, indicating a strong performance at the box office. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas and Natarajan Subramaniam are in important roles in the film. Made on a budget of around Rs 20 crore, Maharaja grossed an impressive Rs 109.13 crore worldwide upon its release in June.
