The trailer launch for Aamir Khan’s much awaited film Sitare Zameen Paar has been postponed. This decision was reportedly taken to light of tragic Pahalgam attacks, which has deeply saddened the nation. Lost as a gesture of respect for life and accepting the Somaras mood across the country, the film’s team decided that it was best to stop the trailer release.
The trailer was originally leaving this week and hoped that a large -scale promotional campaign for the film was kickstarted. However, reports show that Aamir Khan and his team felt that it would be unfair to launch the trailer at this time. He is reportedly expected to finalize a new trailer release date within the next two weeks.
Sitare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna and built under Aamir Khan Productions, is with Genelia Deshmukh in the lead with Aamir Khan. The film is widely considered as a spiritual sequel to the 2007 drama Taare Zameen Paar. While the storylines are different, the Sitare land promises to detect equally equal and socially relevant subjects.
The film revolves around a visit to a person who goes through a personal change after interacting with children watching the world through a unique lens. Through these interactions, they are forced to reflect their shortcomings and change for better. In recent interviews, Aamir Khan shared that the emotional arc of the story would echo deeply with the audience, such as the Tare Zameen Paar had done about two decades ago.
Despite the delay in the trailer release, Aamir Khan confirmed in a special conversation with Pinkvilla that the Sitare land will still be released in theaters on 20 June 2025. So far, there has been no change in the release date.
Meanwhile, Aamir is celebrating a fresh success at the box office with his 1994 film Endz Apna’s re -release. The film was brought back to theaters to mark its 30th anniversary. The Hindi language comedy film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi has competed for the affection of a rich successor as two targetless dreamers. The film is filled with memorable characters such as wrong identity, slap humor, and crime master Gogo, depicted by Shakti Kapoor. It has become a creed classic in Indian cinema over the years.
