The box office clash between Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is getting tougher every day. Both the films are leaving no stone unturned to draw the audience to the theaters this Diwali. However, it seems like the team of the Kartik Aryan starrer is a little more concerned about the screen count than the Ajay Devgan-led film. According to a report published in Indian ExpressT-Series, the official production house backing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has reached out to the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to intervene and help in equal amount of screen allocation.

PVR Pictures, the distributor of the Rohit Shetty directorial, is believed to have allotted more than 60 percent shows on PVR Inox for the film. The same report mentions that Singham Again has taken over all the shows on some single-screens, with only a few being allowed to screen Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the morning slot.

More PVR Screens So Far for Singham Again

The report quoted a source close to the production as saying that T-Series has asked to share the screen 50-50 percent. “T-Series has filed a petition seeking intervention in the screen allocation dispute from the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the regulatory body responsible for promoting economic growth and consumer welfare through healthy competition,” the source said. Is demanding distribution.” The number of screens, a 50-50 per cent split is proposed for his films Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again.”

However, it is unclear whether the petition will actually help the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, as a similar request was made by Ajay Devgan in 2012 and the same body had then refused to intervene. In 2012, when the actor’s Son of Sardar clashed with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan, he approached CCI with a proposal to allocate equal screens, but no further cognizance was taken in the matter.

Both the films are expected to do exceptionally well at the box office on Diwali. Even though the budget of Singham Again is higher than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, that hasn’t stopped Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 from going big with its marketing campaign to create maximum buzz among the audience.

It will be interesting to see which film impresses the audience, because at the end of the day it is the public’s verdict that matters. Many films with high screen share have flopped at the box office without attracting audience interest in theatres, while many small budget films have managed to revive the screens like never before.

November 1 will be crucial for both Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 because despite their great appeal, strong word-of-mouth is the only thing that will take the films forward.
