Singham Again Trailer Review: Never-seen-before action or a star-studded mashup?

Singham Again is a great attempt to assimilate the Avengers into the world of Rohit Shetty’s police world. Ajay Devgan is leading the film as star cop Bajirao Singham and he is joined by the likes of Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff who are justifying their mega screen presence in the film. The trailer of the film, which was shared online on Monday, October 7, left cinema lovers in India stunned and noticing something special about this action film.
This is Shetty’s world where expensive cars will be crashed, goons will be beaten up and heroes will look more heroic than ever. But, this is his first time not relying solely on the star power of his lead. Barring Farah Khan’s little jingle in Om Shanti Om, where she managed to pull off the industry’s biggest casting coup, no other director has managed to bring together six of the biggest stars of the Hindi film industry. Or best of all, uniting them to fight against a villain in a never-before-seen fashion. But, although this is largely seen as a strength of the film, it is a risky move. At least that’s what the trailer says.
The trailer of Singham Again tells the entire story in about five minutes. It includes all the grand entry scenes of big actors, making you relish the joy of whistling and cheering for the entry of your favorite superstar inside the theatre. You see action happening everywhere and in true sense the film also travels from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. At one point in the trailer, when you have met all the stars, admiring their action ability, the drama they have done and understood their purpose, you also wonder if this is the point of everything. Claiming too much? This is also the point where you look for a respite in the trailer.
Apart from the management of the stars, or lack thereof (only the future will tell), the film also deals with another intriguing detail. Singham Again is inspired by Ramayana where Shetty re-imagines his characters as revered characters from the Hindu epic.
You get Ajay and Kareena Kapoor Khan as Lord Ram and Sita respectively, while Ranveer Singh plays Lord Hanuman and Tiger Shroff plays Lakshman. Akshay Kumar is seen in the universe in his solo cop film Suryavanshi. jattayu In the movie. This all sounds interesting on paper, and perhaps adds edge to the story in the trailer. But this isn’t so easy. Making mythology or any religion-based story the basis of your film is like walking on a double-edged sword.
And while the audience will put their 100 percent trust on Rohit Shetty’s directorial ability, also considering that he has one of the most successful track records of films in Bollywood, Singham Again could be a big risk for his career. The film has a lot to gain from the buzz and the individual fan following of the six superstars, but what if it turns into a slush of shiny, good-looking faces?
