Actor Aamir Khan has reportedly opted out of the upcoming biopic centered on entrepreneur Ashneer Grover, who is often in the news for his controversial statements. According to a recent report, the actor has opted out of the film due to creative differences with debutant director Rahul Modi.

Earlier this year, reports alleged that Aamir has joined hands with Modi for a film inspired by the life of the former BharatPe co-founder. Soon after, it was reported that Shraddha Kapoor was on board as the female lead and co-producer. The team was scheduled to begin filming in March 2027 after Khan wraps up his period drama.

However, according to the latest update, Aamir Khan has backed out of the project even before the production started. Bollywood HungamaCiting a source, it was revealed that despite his best efforts to shape the narrative, the actor left due to unresolved creative differences over the script.

The source said, “Aamir is fascinated by the world of start-ups, and was keen to get into this space with Ashneer Grover’s biopic. He took note of the script and developed it to the best of his knowledge. But eventually, he had creative differences with Rahul Modi, which led to their parting ways.”

Despite this, Shraddha Kapoor and partner Rahul Modi are keen to continue with the project and have started looking for a young face for the lead role.

The source said, “The real-life duo is now considering remaking the film and casting a relatively young name to play the role of Ashneer Grover. Talks are on with two-three top names and the cast is expected to be finalized soon.”

Along with playing the lead role of Ashneer’s wife Madhuri Grover, Shraddha will also be producing the film in collaboration with a major studio.

Shraddha will also be seen in director Laxman Utekar’s film. etaBased on the life of famous Lavani and Tamasha artiste Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.
