Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is one of the most famous actresses in the industry. He has worked in many hit films. However, his last film, Strey 2, became a big hit and he was widely praised for his performance. Apart from him, Rajkumar Rao, who played an important role in the film, was also appreciated from all corners.
Earlier, there were reports that after the success of the film, Rajkumar had increased by Rs 5 crore. Now, a new report states that Shraddha Kapoor has also doubled her remuneration and is charging a fee of Rs 17 crore with Ekta Kapoor.
Earlier, Pinkvilla specifically stated that Shraddha Kapoor is directed by Rahi Anil Barwe for an upcoming high-concept thriller with Ekta Kapoor. We also revealed that the film would go on the floor in the second half of 2025. Now, a source told Bollywood Hungama that Stri 2 actress has been given a remuneration of Rs 17 crore for her role in the project with Ekta Kapoor.
“It is one of the highest advance fees received by Shraddha Kapoor, as well as one of the most salary for a woman lead in Hindi. Ekta Kapoor was more happy than snatching Rs 17 crore to sign Shraddha, as Rahi Anil Barve would have seen the high-gross as a follow-up for host-grossing.”
Not only the acting fee, the report also states that Shraddha Kapoor’s contract has a profit-sharing section. After the release of the film, he will get a percentage of different profits from the fee of Rs 17 crore.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Rajkummar Rao reacted up to Rs 5 crore in the report to increase his fees after the success of Stri 2. He said, “I read different figures every day. I am not sufficient enough to make my producers cumbersome. The actor insisted that his success and the money that come with it does not change their core drive.”
The actor also shared that acting is his passion and he is committed to the roles that they seem interesting and this will help him develop into an artist.
