Shilpa Shetty came into limelight after reports of ED raid at her house related to her husband Raj Kundra’s alleged money laundering case containing explicit material. His lawyer denied any connection, maintaining that he was innocent. Now breaking his silence, Raj urged the media to stop dragging the actress’ name and said that sensationalism cannot overshadow the truth.
Raj Kundra took to Instagram today to address the ongoing media discussion surrounding his case. Sharing his stand, he highlighted his full cooperation in the investigation that lasted for four years.
He dismissed the growing allegations of association, pornography and money laundering as exaggerated drama, and expressed confidence that justice would eventually reveal the truth. He wrote, “As for the claims of associates, pornography and money laundering, let us believe that no amount of sensationalism can obscure the truth; justice will ultimately prevail!”
He also slammed the media for repeatedly linking his wife Shilpa Shetty to this case. He stressed the importance of respecting boundaries and urged her to stop involving him in unrelated matters. “A note to the media: It is unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries.!!! #ED,” he wrote.

Earlier, Shilpa’s lawyer Prashant Patil addressed the recent media reports with an official clarification, stating that the actress has no connection with the ongoing case or any legal violation. He rejected the claims of ED raid at his house as baseless and misleading, and insisted that there was no reason for such action.
Her lawyer further informed that the investigation revolves around her husband Raj, who is actively cooperating with the authorities to uncover the truth of the case.
She also appealed to media outlets to stop using Shilpa’s images or videos while discussing the matter, as it unfairly tarnishes her reputation. Legal action was indicated against those who disregarded this request.
The case, which has been ongoing since May 2022, initially saw Raj Kundra and several associates arrested for a short time before being released on bail. Kundra has consistently denied any direct involvement and claims that he has been wrongly implicated.
Along with Kundra, the other accused persons include actors Poonam Pandey, Sherlyn Chopra and Umesh Kamat as well as executives associated with Raj Kundra Films.
