In an old interview with Komal Nahta, Shahid Kapoor was asked about his first reaction after the birth of his daughter Misha. In response, the actor revealed that he was extremely happy but also scared because he had a daughter. Sharing what he then told Mira Rajput’s father, Shahid said, “And having a girl makes you feel like ‘Oh my God…’ because I had just got married, and the first thing I did was call Mira’s father and said, ‘Dad, if I did anything to upset you at the wedding, I’m really sorry.'”
Shahid said that he was coming to terms with the fact that he has a daughter who will get married to a boy in the future. He said that at that moment the next 30 years flashed before his eyes. Shahid described the feeling of having a daughter as “amazing” and very special because he and Mira wanted a daughter.
Misha Kapoor was born on 26 August 2016. Shahid and Mira’s son Zain was born on 5 September 2018.
