Shabana also addressed the people gathered at the protest site and expressed her support towards activist Sonam Wangchuk and her ongoing hunger strike.

Prakash Raj, who had visited the protests earlier, returned on Sunday to show solidarity with the protesters. Addressing the gathering he said, “I’m with you tonight. I’m right here. We’ll see what happens.”

Later, the actor shared a selfie video from the venue on social media with the caption, “The youth of our country are #JustTasking.”

In the clip, protesters can be heard chanting slogans in the background, while Prakash says with a smile, “These youth are fighting for their cause,” before ending the video.

CJP has been protesting at Jantar Mantar since June 6 demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and accountability over alleged irregularities in the entrance examinations.

The movement gained widespread attention after Sonam Wangchuk started an indefinite hunger strike on 28 June. He was taken into police custody on Saturday and later admitted to hospital following a petition seeking court intervention.

The group is scheduled to march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament on Monday when the monsoon session begins.

According to PTI, security has been beefed up in New Delhi ahead of the monsoon session and CJP’s proposed “Chalo Sansad” march.
