The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that Tuesday, June 16 will be the first day of Muharram 1448 Hijri and the beginning of the Islamic New Year.This announcement was made after the sighting of the Muharram moon on Monday evening.The UAE also confirmed Tuesday as the first day of Muharram and the beginning of the Islamic year 1448 Hijri.
