Samsung Galaxy S26 series likely to go on sale two weeks after launch

As of now, reports indicate that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in San Francisco, USA on February 25, 2026. For reference, the Galaxy S25 series was launched on January 22, 2025.

Now, according to French outlet, DeLabs, Samsung will open pre-orders for its new flagship lineup on the same day as the rumored launch, however, the Galaxy S26 series will only go on sale from March 11, 2026. This indicates a long wait of about two weeks before you can buy new Samsung devices.

However, this is not unusual in the smartphone industry. The Galaxy S25 series went on sale on February 7, 2025, after launching in January.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series design and display

Samsung is expected to launch three devices – Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 Edge, which was previously said to replace the Plus model, is said to have been cancelled.

All three Galaxy S26 devices will likely get a new design with an integrated camera module similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The top-of-the-line Galaxy S26 Ultra may also get rounded corners.

On the front, Samsung is expected to use its M14 AMOLED display on the S26 Ultra. The screen is said to measure 6.9 inches in dimensions and come with a QHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also expected to come with an in-built privacy display

The Galaxy S26 Plus is also rumored to get a 6.9-inch AMOLED panel, whereas its predecessor had a 6.7-inch unit. While the base S26 will likely retain the 6.2-inch AMOLED display.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series performance and cameras

Under the hood, you can expect Samsung to use its new Exynos 2600 chipset for all three Galaxy S26 devices in select regions, while some markets will likely use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.

On the camera front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to get better image processing for better skin tones and color accuracy while retaining last year’s quad camera setup – a 200-megapixel primary, 50-megapixel ultrawide, 12-megapixel 3x telephoto, and a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto lens.
