Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra is generating a lot of excitement ahead of its launch in January 2025. Rumored to feature upgrades in design, hardware and camera capabilities, this flagship smartphone is expected to bring a number of improvements to the Galaxy lineup. Here’s a look at the leaked specs, design and expected India price.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra specs, design leaked
Leaked renders suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra may adopt a flat-frame design, moving away from the curved edges seen in the first model. While retaining its signature S-Pen integration, the phone may offer a more balanced look with slightly softer corners than its predecessor. As suggested by the renders, the bezels around the display may be more minimal. The rear camera setup arrangement may remain the same as the old model.
The device is expected to have a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen, which is slightly larger than the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with a higher resolution of 3,120×1,440 pixels. The report indicates that Samsung may retain the M13 panel for cost efficiency with anti-reflective coating for better outdoor visibility.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, there are indications that Samsung may also consider introducing its Exynos 2500 processor for specific markets. Recent benchmarks hint at the possibility of different variants, although it is uncertain whether the company will return to its regional Exynos strategy.
Camera performance is a key focus for Samsung’s Ultra models, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra may feature a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The device is also said to have a 200-megapixel primary sensor, as well as telephoto cameras offering 3x and 5x optical zoom. This setup can provide clearer and more detailed images.
The Ultra model is likely to include the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessor. As usual, you won’t get a charger in the retail box like big brands like Apple and Google. It will probably support IP68 and IP69 water-resistant ratings.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, S25, S25+: India price (expected)
In India, the Galaxy S25 series may see a price increase of Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 compared to its predecessor. Based on previous pricing trends, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could be priced around Rs 1,34,999, while the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 could be priced at Rs 1,04,999 and Rs 84,999, respectively. However, there is a possibility that Samsung may retain the current pricing to remain competitive, especially since rivals like Apple have kept their prices stable for the iPhone 16 series. But, these are not official prices and users are advised to take these details with a pinch of salt.
