The price of the base model of the standard Galaxy S25 is said to start at Rs 84,999, which comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. While the top-end storage option with 12GB RAM and 512GB is priced at Rs 94,999. To put this in context, the Galaxy S24 had a relatively affordable starting price of Rs 74,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
Moving forward, the Galaxy S25+ is rumored to start at Rs 1,04,999 for the base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, which is higher than the Galaxy S24+’s starting price of Rs 99,999. As per the leak, the higher storage option of 12GB RAM + 512GB storage may cost buyers Rs 1,14,999.
As for the top-of-the-line, Galaxy S25 Ultra, the leaked price may be a surprise. The base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage can be priced at Rs 1,34,999, while last year the price of Galaxy S24 Ultra started at Rs 1,29,999. The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is expected to be priced at Rs 1,44,999, while the top-tier 16GB RAM + 1TB storage model could come with a staggering price tag of Rs 1,64,999.
The rumored price increase could be linked to Samsung’s adoption of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is expected to power the Galaxy S25 series. The latest chip comes with higher production costs, which may explain the jump in pricing. It remains to be seen whether this performance increase justifies the price increase.
Samsung has started accepting reservations for the Galaxy S25 series in India. Customers can pre-book the smartphone through the company website, Samsung exclusive stores, and various online and offline retail outlets. As the launch date approaches, it’s clear that the Galaxy S25 series could take premium pricing to a new level. Only time will tell if these features are worth the hefty price tag.
