Earlier this week, Samsung announced a UI 8 Watch, which will begin with the next Galaxy Watch in July. A UI 8 Watch update brings new Samsung health features, including bedtime guidance, vascular load, running coach and antioxidant index. While Samsung health facilities are still free to use, things can move forward as Korean brand is considering membership plans for Samsung Health.
In an interview with SenateDr. Honorable Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Health in Samsung, revealed that the company is searching for a premium subscription model for Samsung Health, which is similar to a germin connect plus or fitbit premium, for which Samsung health users will have to pay monthly membership fees for advanced facilities. Basic facilities will probably be free.
These new advanced features, which may require membership, can be included in free with premium galaxy watches (and possibly galaxy rings), while older models will have to pay to access them.
Right now, the new Samsung Health features launched with a UI 8 watch are available for old watches in the form of Galaxy Watch 5 series through a beta program in the US and South Korea. However, their availability depends on whether your watch has upgraded the LED sensor.

For example, vascular load and antioxidant index features are available only on Galaxy Watch Ultra, while running coach Galaxy Watch 7 or later will work. It is also worth noting that the vascular load and antioxidant index are being introduced as labs features, meaning that they are experimental features and are available as early previews before their stable release.
