Samantha to return to Telugu cinema with Nandini Reddy’s film: Report
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was last seen in a full role in Telugu cinema in 2023, will return to ‘Khushi’ starring Vijay Dawakonda, with a project supported by his production company, Trollala Moving Pictures.

Samantha Ruth is fully prepared to make a much-awaited comeback in Telugu cinema with a main role in a new-age social drama directed by Prabhu Nandini Reddy. The project, which will be supported by Samantha’s production banner Tralla Moving Pictures, marks a significant change in the actor’s career as it goes back to Telugu-language films after focusing on Hindi projects in recent times.
The film is allegedly being made on a tight budget, in which pre-production activities are already progressing at a fast pace. Sources close to Vikas say that an official announcement will be made soon. Samantha was last seen in a full Telugu role with Vijay Dawakonda in 2023 Kushi. Since then, he has made a cameo appearance only in the horror-comedy ‘Subham’, which was his first venture as a manufacturer under Tralla Moving Pictures. The film was a commercial success and is currently available for streaming.

This upcoming project will be rejoined to Samantha with director Nandini Reddy, which is known for her first support in ‘Jabardashth’ and 2019 hits Oh Baby. Reddy recently rumored rumors about the project, told him ahead of time. However, it has now been confirmed that the film is actually in development and is moving forward.
Samantha, who has recently been selective about her Telugu script, has also appeared in the Hindi web series such as ‘Sitadale: Honey Bani’, which failed to create a strong impact. She is currently working with Raj and DK on the ‘Rakat universe: The Bloody Kingdom’. Allegedly, shooting is progressing in carefully planned stages, and the release date remains to be finalized.
