Sonam, this is it brother: Salman offers food to Wangchuk, urges students to return home
Salman Khan has urged the students protesting against the NEET-UG paper leak to return home, assured them of their safety and assured strict action against the culprits. He also appealed to social activist Sonam Wangchuk to end her hunger strike and offered to send her home-cooked food.
Actor Salman Khan has appealed to students protesting against the NEET paper leak in Delhi to return home, saying they need not worry about their safety or leave their parents worried. In another social media post shared on Thursday, the 60-year-old said he was confident that action would be taken against those responsible for the alleged leak.
The superstar also referred to PM Narendra Modi’s post about setting up fast-track courts to punish those behind the leaks.
He wrote, “Students are of top priority in terms of academics and security, so they need not worry and their parents need not be worried for them. Honorable Prime Minister has tweeted, and I am sure he will take strict action against all those who are responsible for this leak. So students, please go back to your parents and homes (sic).”
Addressing social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was on hunger strike for 26 days in support of the students, Salman urged her to end her fast. The actor offered to send him home-cooked food, writing, “Sonam, it’s done, brother. Don’t make it worse. If you want, I’ll send you food from home.”

This is Salman Khan’s second post on the student protests, after he shared a detailed statement on Wednesday supporting the students and demanding accountability. Salman is among the many film celebrities who have voiced their support for the students in recent times. Actors including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Rajkummar Rao, R Madhavan, John Cusack, Sonakshi Sinha, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap have also spoken on the issue, expressing solidarity with the students and demanding accountability over the alleged paper leak.
The protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) have been going on for over a month, with students demanding action. Earlier this week, the agitation intensified after CJP’s ‘Chalo Sansad’ march in Delhi, where clashes broke out between protesters and police.
