AR Rahman and Saira Banu have officially parted ways after 29 years of marriage. Despite requesting privacy during this challenging time, people started fabricating stories around their separation. Recently Saira talked about the rumors going on about her divorce and issued a new statement.
He released an official audio clip today, November 24, and urged everyone to stop making false allegations against the musician. Saira shared that she has been in Bombay for the past few months and revealed that her absence from Chennai was due to health issues.
Saira said, “I am currently in Bombay. I am physically unwell for the last few months. That’s why I wanted to take a break from AR, but I would request the entire YouTubers, Tamil media, to please take action against her.” Don’t say anything bad, he’s a gem, the best man in the world.”
He also acknowledged AR Rahman’s busy schedule in Chennai and expressed his gratitude for his support. Saira addressed the rumors of her link-up with bassist Mohini Dey, saying, “He has no relationship with anyone, I trust him in my life. I love him so much and he does the same.” So I humbly request you to do so.” Stop all false allegations against him, and God bless.”
Saira further said that she will return to Chennai soon after completing her treatment. He requested people to stop tarnishing the name of AR Rahman and thanked everyone before ending his audio note.
A day earlier, the Oscar-winning composer had issued a legal notice against those spreading rumors about him and his family. In a legal notice posted on Instagram, they warned YouTubers, media outlets and online portals to stop speculating about their relationship.

Meanwhile, AR Rahman and Saira Banu officially parted ways on November 19. The couple got married in 1995 in an arranged marriage. They are the parents of three children, namely Rahima, Ameen and Khatija.
