Hollywood star Ryan Gosling to star in Marvel Studios’ new standalone ghost rider film. Marvel Studios executive Kevin Feige made the announcement on stage in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. The film will be directed by Shawn Levy and will be released in 2028.

This announcement brings Gosling as the latest actor to join Marvel ghost riderOne of the most recognizable Supernatural characters. Levi recently directed and produced Marvel’s blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine. He is now reuniting with the 45-year-old actor after working with him in the upcoming film Star Wars: Starfighter, Which is going to be released on 28 May 2027.

Levy joined Gosling and Feige on stage at Hall H and then talked about returning to the show deadpool and wolverine Presentation two years ago. “I’m experiencing the biggest flashback vibes here, because I was here two years ago when we showed deadpool and wolverine,” Levi said.

Gosling will become the second actor to play the Spirit of Vengeance in a film. Nicolas Cage previously played the fiery motorcyclist in two Sony films. Cage acted for the first time ghost rider As motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze in 2007.

In the original story of the comics and film, Johnny sells his soul to the devil Mephisto to cure his father’s cancer. Mephisto cures his father, but still dies in a stunt accident. Johnny then becomes bound to a supernatural demon known as the Spirit of Vengeance and can transform into a flaming skeleton biker.

The character also possesses immense strength, wielding fiery chain whips and can make people feel the emotional pain they have caused others through the penitential stare.

Marvel’s later version

After the rights returned to Marvel Studios, the character was reworked for the ABC series. agents of SHIELD. Gabriel Luna played the Robbie Reyes version, a young Latino man who takes up ghost rider Covering. Luna was later set to reprise the role in a standalone Hulu series, but that project was canceled in 2019.

Gosling’s casting adds another major project to a busy period for the actor Project Hail Mary.
