Actress Rupali Ganguly responded to a post made by Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi, lauding her courage and strength as a woman amid allegations of abuse and cheating by her stepdaughter Esha Verma. The popular telly star expressed his gratitude towards the director for standing by him and treating him like family.

She posted, “From the man who raised me as his Anupama… it means a lot. My guru… my DKP family… blessed to have you in my life.” Comments section of the post.

Rupali has recently sued Isha for defamation of Rs 50 crore. This post by Rajan Shahi comes a day after the news of the actor getting legal help came. In his post on Instagram on Friday, November 15, the producer wrote, “We have seen your hard work, challenges, sacrifices behind the scenes.” With a smile. Your humility as an actress is inspiring to all of us in the Anupama team.”

He referred to the actress by her screen name Anupama and said in the post, “Always, as always, move forward with a smile and confidence, because your daily hard work is the answer to all the loyalty and dedication towards your craft.” Anupama is exemplary.”

Earlier this month, Isha had accused Rupali and her husband Ashwin Verma of misbehaving with her mother and Ashwin’s first wife. She also alleged that the actor looted her mother’s jewelery and broke her parents’ marriage. He called Rupali an ‘abusive and poisonous woman’. The 26-year-old later deleted her post from the social media handle following the legal case.

Rupali married Ashwin in February 2013. The couple have a son who was born in August that year.
