Trigger warning: The following article contains references to sexual assault.

A rumor on social media claims that notorious rumor monger Diddy Combs – who is currently incarcerated due to multiple sexual assault charges – has been found unresponsive in his jail cell.

On January 2, YouTuber Jameel Peterson uploaded a 2-hour long video on his account Jameel Peterson Mr. I’m Comedy and made this claim. The video caption reads, “Breaking News’ sister found unconscious in jail cell with a sock wrapped around her neck and taken to hospital.”

However, there was no concrete evidence for his claim. Furthermore, no other media outlets reported the story, which would be unlikely if the news were true, given that Diddy’s case is one of the most sensational high-profile at the moment. Therefore the claim made by Jameel proved to be false.

The music mogul was arrested on September 16 following a grand jury indictment. Some of the crimes they faced included conspiracy to defraud, forced sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to a Daily Mail report published on December 27, the rapper had a “meltdown” in his jail cell during the holiday season. He reportedly requested prison guards to take him to the medical room the day after Christmas, but was refused.
