The makers of RRR have announced a new documentary on the internationally acclaimed film. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this multi-starrer, which featured stars like Ram Charan and Jr NTR, not only achieved huge success but also brought global recognition to Indian cinema by winning the Oscar for Best Original Song.

Now, the makers have confirmed the release of a documentary titled RRR: Behind and Beyond, which will focus on the making of this iconic film.

The makers shared the announcement on social media, writing, “The world saw Gaurav. Now watch the story.” The documentary will highlight the making of the film, its pre-production and post-release successes.

Netflix recently released a documentary on SS Rajamouli, titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli. The documentary, which premiered on August 2, highlights Rajamouli’s global successes, including the Baahubali franchise and RRR.

This biographical documentary dives into Rajamouli’s filmmaking process, his legacy and much more, featuring interviews with the director and his close collaborators including James Cameron, Joe Russo, Karan Johar, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan. Includes interviews.

Now, the RRR team has announced a documentary focusing exclusively on the making of the film. Reports suggest that there may be limited theatrical screenings similar to the Interstellar documentary, as the action sequences of RRR have set new standards in Indian cinema. Although the exact release platform and date are yet to be announced, it has been confirmed that the documentary will release in December.
