Robert Pattinson says he still hates Twilight: It’s crazy
Hollywood star Robert Pattinson recently admitted that he still gets trolled for playing vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight.

Hollywood star Robert Pattinson is still being scouted to play Edward Cullen in Twilight. The actor said that people still never miss a chance to tell him how his portrayal in the film ruined the vampire genre.
Speaking to GQ Spain, Pattinson shared, “I love that people keep saying to me, ‘Man, ‘Twilight’ ruined the vampire genre. Are you still stuck on that thing? You How can one be sad about something that happened almost 20 years ago? This is crazy.”
Twilight was released in 2008, and turned Pattinson and co-star Kristen Stewart into household names overnight. Pattinson played the blood-sucking lead in five films of the franchise.
Director and producer Catherine Hardwicke had previously revealed in an interview that the studio did not want Pattinson in the lead role. At the time, fans wanted Superman star Henry Cavill to play the vampire.
On the work front, Pattinson is currently awaiting the release of Bong Joon-ho directed film Mickey 17, which also stars Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette and Steven Yeun.
Mickey 17 will be released in theaters on March 7.
