After the massive success of Thangaalan, all eyes are on Chiyaan Vikram, who is known for his standout performances. The actor’s next release brings an interesting twist, as the sequel of the film will be released even before the production of its prequel begins. Yes, we are talking about the film Veera Dheera Suran 2.
While the first few glimpses of Veera Dheera Sooran 2 have already piqued the interest of fans, it seems the makers have now finalized the release date of the Chiyaan Vikram starrer.
According to a recent post by industry insider Sridhar Pillai, it is reported that the film is confirmed to release on the silver screens on January 30, 2025. Furthermore, the censorship process for the film is also likely to happen soon.

In an earlier interview with Vikatan, the film’s director Arun Kumar had revealed about the reasoning behind his unusual decision of releasing the sequel before the prequel.
Sharing his insights, the filmmaker revealed, “My original idea was completely focused on the sequel. However, as I began writing the film, several back stories emerged. Right now, we don’t need to explore them. It’s like meeting someone for the first time—we first ask them about today, and only then think about their past. Similarly, the film focuses on a particular night.
Meanwhile, he also drew similarities between Chiyaan’s Veera Dheera Sooran 2 and the other film Chitha, which starred Siddharth in the lead role. Arun highlighted how both films deal with challenging events that define the main character over the course of a night.
He further explained that the film, apart from being a ground-breaking action thriller, will also incorporate elements of a strong emotional element.
